This two-day conference will cover a host of topics relevant to federal contractors, including but not limited to Alaska Native Corporations. The conference will provide both "introductory" and "advanced" break out sessions on a number of important topics. There will also be a track of sessions dedicated to construction contractors.

Topics to be covered include:

• Internal and external investigations and audits

• Current and anticipated SBA and 8(a) program requirements

• Corporate governance and structure for ANC and tribal-owned 8(a)s

• Advanced teaming, joint venture, and subcontract arrangements

• American Recovery and Reinvestment Act compliance and reporting requirements

• Ethics and Compliance program requirements and the new disclosure requirements under the FAR

• False Claims Act and expansion of FCA exposure under the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act of 2009

• Construction accounting and DCAA Audits

• Bonding and suretyships -- tips for increasing bonding levels

• Understanding the Service Contract Act, the Davis-Bacon Act, and state and federal wage & hour laws

• Protecting Intellectual Property assets in contracting with the government and among team participants

Alaska Governor Sean Parnell will be a featured speaker and members of the Alaska Congressional Delegation and SBA officials have been invited to discuss the status of the SBA's 8(a) program and legislative and regulatory actions impacting ANCs.
