Celebrating more than 10 years of client service, Patton Boggs’ Northern Virginia office is situated in the heart of the thriving Dulles Technology Corridor and government contracting community. Also known as the “Silicon Valley of the East,” Northern Virginia is an internationally recognized magnet for research, development, telecommunications, information systems technology and government-related services—just one reason the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) department is based here. More than 1,000 technology companies, government contractors, private equity and venture funds and other large international businesses are headquartered in and around the Tysons Corner area, helping to make it the nation’s 12th largest business district and the classic example of an edge city. Our position and experience in Northern Virginia allow us to provide an array of legal services to this vibrant business community. Having doubled the number of employees since opening its doors, our Northern Virginia office focuses on client needs in the areas of IP, export compliance, licensing, technology transfer; public policy; government contract counseling, procurement, and litigation; mergers and acquisitions; private equity, venture, and corporate finance; securities; bankruptcy; commercial litigation; and estate, wealth preservation and tax planning. The 60-plus lawyers and staff in our Northern Virginia office work closely with other Patton Boggs offices to provide the entire range of legal and business needs of the firm’s clients, including state and federal regulatory matters, international transactions, tax and legislative and administrative issues at the state and federal levels. The firm’s Northern Virginia office is a 20-minute cab ride from Dulles International Airport and is 25-minute commute from Reagan National Airport. The office is approximately 30 minutes from our downtown Washington, DC office.
