Patton Boggs’ deep roots in the international community can be traced back to the firm’s creation in 1962. In contrast to the many U.S. law firms that have recently developed an international practice as an extension of their domestic work, Patton Boggs was founded as an international law firm, with attorneys who represented foreign sovereigns and assisted foreign governments and international companies in matters of global business, trade, government relations, and public policy.
