Patton Boggs’ Dubai office, established in 2013, provides legal services to public- and private-sector clients in Dubai and throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Much of the work undertaken by the firm’s lawyers in the region focuses on legal services supporting construction and infrastructure, capital improvements, project finance, real estate development, and private and institutional investment. We also offer exceptional strength and experience in litigation and dispute resolution for construction and engineering industry clients, having represented clients from throughout the MENA region, in the resolution of a diverse range of construction disputes.
Patton Boggs’ Dubai attorneys also provide transactional support through services related to contract negotiations, contract compliance issues, project risk management and mitigation, and intellectual property counsel and disputes. Much of work in our Dubai office is aligned with the political and economic development now changing the face of the MENA region: For example, we support the real estate, tourism and hospitality sectors; public utilities; and educational institutions that have been invited to establish a presence in the region by sovereign governments.
With the opening of the Dubai office, Patton Boggs offers strong, regionally based capabilities to clients in Dubai and the surrounding region, and strengthens the scope of its offerings to clients throughout the entire MENA region. In addition to Dubai, Patton Boggs maintains offices in Doha, Qatar; Abu Dhabi, UAE and an affiliate office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, operating as The Khalid Al-Thebity Law Firm. This network of resources enables a strong interdisciplinary approach to client service, as a result of the tendency of Patton Boggs attorneys in the region to collaborate on issues to provide the most comprehensive, informed solutions possible.
