As a member of the firm’s Private Capital and Investment Group, Alexandra Metzner assists clients on a wide range of domestic and international business law issues, and concentrates her practice on advising fund sponsors and institutional investors concerning the legal aspects of structuring and participating in private equity and other investment funds, including LBO, venture capital, real estate, and hedge funds. She assists investors making real estate and corporate securities investments in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the United States. On a regular basis, Ms. Metzner participates in the negotiation, drafting, and review of partnership and limited liability company agreements, as well as a variety of fund documentation.
She also assists domestic and international clients on the financing of large projects, the sale and acquisition of companies, the formation of joint ventures, and Shariah compliant financing. Additionally, Ms. Metzner advises clients on U.S. and international corporate compliance and AML issues.
Previously, Ms. Metzner assisted lenders, power plant developers, owners, and equity investors involved in mergers and acquisitions to ensure compliance with, and to minimize, U.S. federal and state public utility regulation.
