Akash Sethi represents middle market private equity funds, mezzanine finance funds, venture capital funds and other institutional investors, as well as companies in all stages of development. His practice focuses primarily on control and noncontrol equity investment transactions as well as mergers and other acquisition and sale transactions, such as leveraged buy-outs; strategic and platform stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions; recapitalizations; debt-to-equity conversions; private placements of securities; venture capital and growth equity financings; minority equity investments; private investment in public equity (PIPE) transactions; and lender warrants. Mr. Sethi advises clients and handles transactions across a broad range of industries, including semiconductors, telecommunications, software, pharmaceuticals, financial services, health care, manufacturing and energy. He also regularly counsels clients regarding corporate governance matters and general commercial agreements.

- Represented American Capital Strategies, Ltd. in its acquisitions and financings of Rug Doctor, Imaging Business Machines, Scientific Protein Laboratories, The Meadows and Engineering Textile Group, Inc.
- Represented American Capital Strategies, Ltd. in the sales of its portfolio companies CreditCards.com, Inc., Network for Medical Communication and Research and Hospitality Mints.
- Represented First Residential Mortgage in the sale of its SurePoint residential mortgage broker and lender assets to a subsidiary of LendingTree.
- Represented CapitalSource Finance LLC in its acquisitions of CIG Holding, Inc. and CIG International, LLC, and the security alarm receivables finance business of Security Leasing Partners, L.P.
- Represented KBK Capital Corporation in the sale of its factoring business to a subsidiary of the Marquette Financial Companies.
- Represented Ceterus Networks, Inc. from inception through five rounds of venture capital financing and subsequent acquisition by merger by Overture Networks, Inc.
- Represented Net.Orange, Inc. in its Series A Preferred Stock financing.
- Represented Cicada Semiconductor in its Series C Preferred Stock financing and subsequent acquisition by merger with Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation.
- Represented SyChip Inc. in its Series D and Series E Preferred Stock financings and subsequent acquisition by merger by Murata Electronics.
