Barbara Woods counsels clients—including individuals, foundations, trustees, and charitable organizations—on all facets of estate planning, trust and estate administration, fiduciary litigation and exempt organizations. Her practice focuses on tax and charitable giving planning for high net worth individuals.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Woods served as an associate in the trusts and estates department at a Baltimore firm, where she drafted a wide variety of documents to implement estate planning techniques including wills, revocable trusts, insurance trusts, charitable trusts, and other sophisticated trusts designed to minimize taxes. She also administered decedent's estates in Maryland, DC and Virginia. As a manager in the tax department of Ernst & Young, LLP in Washington, Ms. Woods concentrated her practice on personal financial counseling for high net worth individuals.
Ms. Woods also is a certified public accountant.
