Caitlin McCormick advises clients on legislative and regulatory matters pertaining to health care. Ms. McCormick keeps her clients informed of the latest developments in health care laws and regulations, and works to advocate clients’ interests to lawmakers. She has particular expertise in advising clients on health care compliance and in managing compliance risks. Ms. McCormick has closely followed the recent changes to federal health care fraud and abuse laws, as well as emerging state level fraud and abuse trends, and assists clients in navigating the complex health care fraud and abuse framework. She has experience counseling clients regarding the legislative and regulatory process, as well as advising clients in a variety of other health care legislative and regulatory issues, including Medicare reimbursement and health policy. In addition, Ms. McCormick has experience developing and implementing legislative and regulatory strategies for individual clients and coalitions.

Before joining Patton Boggs, Ms. McCormick worked with the Harvard School of Public Health Human Subjects Committee, where she advised the committee regarding the Federal False Claims Act and its application to academic medical centers. She also researched international laws governing human subject research and assisted researchers in navigating these laws. Previously, while at the National Research Center for Women and Families, she advocated health policy issues relating to the FDA and federal funding of cancer research.
