Colleen O’Boyle focuses her practice on energy regulatory and commercial matters. Ms. O’Boyle advises clients on complying with federal statutes and regulations governing the electricity and natural gas industries. She also helps clients navigate complex federal regulations governing corporate finance, including the agencies that regulate securities and transactions. Ms. O’Boyle also counsels clients in private equity or other investment funds.
Ms. O’Boyle brings to Patton Boggs a background in administrative law and policy matters. During law school, she was an executive editor of the Administrative Law Review. Ms. O’Boyle also worked for the Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property, where she examined the difficulties facing documentary filmmakers in South Africa and explored options to ameliorate those difficulties through changes in the South African copyright law and in the practices of filmmakers.
