Christa Lee Rock advises clients in matters related to complex civil and commercial litigation, insurance coverage litigation, environmental compliance and enforcement and the acquisition and protection of intellectual property rights.

In her civil litigation practice, Ms. Rock has assisted in aggressive insurance coverage litigation on behalf of a policyholder seeking coverage for a series of major products liability lawsuits, helped defend a Chinese company in litigation over a transnational oil transaction and assisted in the trial of a complex international fraud case—including the briefing of two appeals—which resulted in a judgment for the client of nearly $80 million. In her environmental practice, Ms. Rock provides counsel on compliance and enforcement matters related to the Clean Air Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). She has assisted in both administrative proceedings and the litigation of environmental claims in the largest environmental bankruptcy in U.S. history.

In her intellectual property practice, Ms. Rock provides a complete range of trademark services, including counseling on the selection of powerful and protectable trademarks, avoiding trademark infringement, policing trademarks, prosecuting trademarks, drafting consent agreements, preparing trademark licenses and securing trademarks abroad. Ms. Rock has prepared arguments to help clients obtain trademarks in the United States and dozens of foreign countries.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Rock worked as a journalist for publications in Connecticut, New York and Russia, where she reported on issues related to the judiciary, the environment and the arts.
