Cole Wist counsels clients on occupational/mine safety and health law, including OSHA and MSHA inspections, counseling, litigation, and liability prevention. He defends employers in accident and disaster investigations and related litigation matters.
Mr. Wist also engages in a national complex civil litigation practice. His practice areas include toxic tort, product liability, insurance, CMBS and mortgage loan repurchase litigation, breaches of warranties, and securities fraud. He has substantial jury trial and arbitration experience in numerous state and federal courts and matters before the NASD.
Mr. Wist also works on various public policy matters before federal and state legislative and administrative bodies.
Before joining Patton Boggs, Mr. Wist represented two large automotive manufacturers on product liability matters. For one of these companies, he coordinated litigation strategy in numerous states as a member of a national counsel team. Mr. Wist has also represented medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies on product liability and regulatory matters.
