David Hain advises clients concerning many types of domestic and international business transactions. He has an extensive corporate practice representing private and public domestic and multinational companies and quasi-governmental entities in business combinations (including domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, stock and asset purchases, reorganizations, and joint ventures), corporate finance transactions and general corporate governance matters. He has also assisted foreign investors in negotiating private equity investments and co-investments.
Before studying law, David worked at an investment bank conducting strategic research and advising clients on investment strategy. This experience in the financial services arena complements David’s work on corporate matters. Prior to joining Patton Boggs, David gained experience in various aspects of lawmaking while working at the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and at the New York City Council. David applies his knowledge of lawmaking to assisting clients with government-related needs. As a certified mediator, David devotes considerable pro bono time to mediating disputes referred by the local courts.
