Dana Weekes represents corporations, universities, and nonprofit organizations on a range of legislative and administrative matters related to agriculture, energy, education and federal funding. Ms. Weekes assists clients on developing comprehensive strategic plans and initiatives to further client objectives, as well as counsels clients on the impacts of potential policy and regulatory changes. Ms. Weekes also advises clients on identifying and pursuing federal funding opportunities. In her practice, Ms. Weekes focuses on an array of policy matters, including food policy, nutrition, renewable and alternative energy development, and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.
Before joining Patton Boggs, Ms. Weekes worked for two nationally recognized and historic nonprofit organizations located in Washington, DC that focus on policy matters related to immigration, children’s rights and voting rights. Ms. Weekes also served as a field organizer for the Democratic Party in both a presidential and special congressional election in Ohio, as well as assisted in compliance matters for state and national political organizations.
Ms. Weekes also interned with the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee under the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA) and the Department of Justice.
