Having joined Patton Boggs in 2007, Erik Dullea concentrates his practice in the infrastructure and development areas, with a particular focus on transportation and energy. He has worked on several litigation matters in federal and state courts, as well as with federal agencies including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Mr. Dullea’s work before the FAA resulted in the elimination of all fines and the dismissal of the alleged violations against the client.

With 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, Mr. Dullea previously spent 10 years of his career flying fighter jets from Navy aircraft carriers in the Pacific Ocean and the Persian Gulf, and 11 years at United Airlines flying Boeing 757’s and 767’s in the domestic and international regions. He was elected to two terms on the Master Executive Council of the Airline Pilots’ Association at United Airlines and was heavily involved in labor relations and airline training and safety issues.

Mr. Dullea continues to serve in the Naval Reserves as an intelligence officer and currently holds the rank of commander. He has completed tours with the Office of Naval Intelligence, NORAD/Northern Command, and recently spent a year assigned to a special operations task force in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Mr. Dullea’s current assignment is with the Naval Mining and Antisubmarine Warfare Command in San Diego, where he focuses on homeland security issues.
