Elissa Glasband concentrates her practice in the areas of complex civil litigation, including product liability, toxic tort, consumer fraud and securities litigation. Ms. Glasband has participated in the defense of a variety of product liability matters and complex class-action litigation on behalf of a major food biotechnology company, a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese diversified chemicals giant, a wholesale and retail long distance services corporation, a widely-recognized rental corporation, a prominent technologies business, the largest telecommunications organization in the United States and a leading business telecommunications company.
Ms. Glasband has extensive experience in information management issues, including coordinating and supervising teams of attorneys in interviewing witnesses and developing the appropriate protocols for locating and collecting documents, including electronic data. She also assists major national clients in managing, tracking and controlling complex document productions. Ms. Glasband also advises clients on electronic discovery matters and has extensive experience counseling clients on record retention compliance policies and procedures. She routinely advises clients regarding preservation notices and electronic discovery matters.
Before arriving at Patton Boggs, Ms. Glasband was an associate at one of Am Law’s five largest U.S. law firms.
Representative Matters:
- Oversight and management of the defense of large telecommunications clients in complex consumer fraud class actions in federal court.
- Defended major rental corporation client in complex consumer fraud class action.
- Oversight and management of major chemical manufacturers in toxic tort and products liability actions in various state courts, including New Jersey, Ohio and Maryland.
- Defended international chemical company in complex commercial contract dispute in federal court.
