Mr. Delaney is the co-founder of CapitalSource and is a member of the Executive Management Committee. He has been the Chief Executive Officer and has served on the board since its inception in 2000. Until its reorganization as a corporation, Mr. Delaney served as one of our two Executive Managers. Mr. Delaney co-founded HealthCare Financial Partners, Inc., a provider of commercial financing to small and medium-sized healthcare service companies, and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1993 until its sale to Heller Financial in 1999. Mr. Delaney received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
