John Hilton represents plaintiffs and defendants before state and federal trial and appellate courts and administrative tribunals, and has helped draft amicus briefs to the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Hilton has litigated against private parties, governmental agencies, and a public international organization; counseled clients applying for presidential clemency; and, helped clients comply with the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007, a far-reaching public ethics reform statute. Additionally, Mr. Hilton was selected to join a small team of volunteer attorneys drafting model pleadings for a presidential campaign in 2008.
In December 2007, Missouri Governor Matt Blunt appointed Mr. Hilton to a six-year term on the Board of Governors of his alma mater, Truman State University.
