Kristi Midboe Miller devotes the majority of her practice to the defense of toxic tort and products liability litigation, ranging from single-plaintiff cases to large, multi-plaintiff and consolidated actions. She brings extensive experience in developing strategy for and coordinating the management of such matters, and her diverse experience spans the litigation process, including factual investigation, expert development and trial and witness preparation. Ms. Midboe Miller has particular expertise regarding medical and scientific issues and has significant experience defending state and federal environmental claims, handling contract and commercial disputes and counseling clients on litigation-avoidance strategies, including warnings issues. She has represented, among others, large pharmaceutical, chemical and consumer products companies.
Prior to joining Patton Boggs, Ms. Midboe Miller served as assistant general counsel for a leading telecommunications company, where she oversaw a wide variety of litigation (including commercial, contract and regulatory matters), conducted negotiations and provided extensive pre-litigation counseling. Prior thereto, Ms. Midboe Miller practiced with two of the largest international law firms, where she handled a number of high-profile products liability, environmental and mass tort cases.
