As counsel in the firm’s Homeland Security, Defense and Technology Transfer practice group, Kenneth Nunnenkamp advises firm clients on matters relating to export/import control and compliance issues, including technology transfer, investigations, audits, transactional due diligence and export and technology licensing. He has assisted clients in a variety of technological and business areas, including the satellite, software and military technology fields.

Mr. Nunnenkamp’s investigative strengths developed from a strong litigation background, including representation of clients in intellectual property and antitrust cases at the trial and appellate levels, and prior service in the U.S. Marine Corps JAG. While at Patton Boggs, Mr. Nunnenkamp has participated in audits, investigations and voluntary disclosures concerning a variety of technologies.

Mr. Nunnenkamp’s broad experience is also reflected in his service in bar and community organizations. He has served as a general counsel to and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Licensing Executives Society, as chairman of committees for the District of Columbia Bar, and as chairman of two amicus committees, including the amicus committee of the Federal Circuit Bar Association. He has testified before the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding intellectual property and antitrust matters, and has authored numerous articles and book chapters concerning investigation, litigation, intellectual property, constitutional and antitrust matters.

Mr. Nunnenkamp has been quoted in Forbes and The Washington Post on legal issues relating to technology transfer, and lectures on export compliance, technology transfer and litigation issues.
