Lindsay Fainé assists clients with a broad range of tax planning and tax policy matters. In tax planning, she advises clients on the tax aspects of corporate reorganizations, acquisitions and divestitures, structured products and derivatives, private equity and investment funds and financings.

Ms. Fainé’s practice is largely focused on enterprises with international operations, for which she provides advice on U.S. and foreign tax aspects of real estate acquisitions and dispositions, corporate mergers and acquisitions, U.S. and foreign withholding tax issues relating to cross-border cash flows and tax-efficient investor exit mechanisms. She also assists taxpayers in administrative controversies with federal and state tax authorities. 

Within the public policy area, Ms. Fainé concentrates on U.S. regulatory and legislative initiatives involving federal tax issues, with a particular emphasis on matters affecting investment funds and foreign investors in the U.S. market.
