Meagan Bachman’s practice focuses on resolution of complex commercial disputes. In addition, Ms. Bachman regularly counsels clients in contract matters relating to major construction and infrastructure projects.
Ms. Bachman has significant experience litigating actions at both the trial and appellate level. She has represented clients in many federal matters, including constitutional challenges to federal agency rule-makings and other federal agency actions. Ms. Bachman has in-depth knowledge of federal procedure, jurisdictional requirements, and remedies. She works closely with clients to craft effective litigation strategies.
Ms. Bachman also is highly knowledgeable in domestic and international arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. She represents clients in commercial, construction and employment matters in arbitrations and mediations pursuant to the rules of International Chamber of Commerce International Commercial Court, International Centre for Dispute Resolution, American Arbitration Association and JAMS.

- Arbitration under AAA Complex Commercial Arbitration Rules of dispute relating to long-term transportation contract.
- ICDR mediation of contract dispute relating to large foreign infrastructure project.
- Expedited First Circuit appeal of class action settlement involving issues of first impression under the U.S. Constitution.
- United States Supreme Court amicus brief filed on behalf of 20 Members of Congress in Granholm v. Heald addressing discrimination against shipments from out-of-state wineries, the Twenty-first Amendment and the Commerce Clause.
- Representation of the Qatar Olympic Committee in successive dismissals of lawsuits filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and New York State Court relating to alleged commercial transaction.
- Precedent-setting Eleventh Circuit appeal of dismissal of fraudulent conveyance action.
- Arbitration of breach of executive employment agreement and breach of fiduciary duty claims before JAMS.
- Coordination of client response to Compulsory Process Order issued by the Federal Trade Commission.
