Michael Forshey assists clients in resolving business disputes by applying innovative business solutions and, when necessary, judicial intervention. Mr. Forshey has handled a wide variety of business disputes focusing on business and financial transactions, intellectual property and the entertainment industry. Mr. Forshey also has experience in negotiating celebrity spokesperson and endorsement agreements.

In addition to his regular practice, Mr. Forshey serves as the co-chair of the Firm’s Pro-Bono Committee.

Representative Matters:

  • Duzich, et al., v. The CIT/Commercial Services, Inc., et al., 395 F.3d 527 (5 Cir. 2004). Successful defense commercial lender against lender liability claims.
  • Raytheon v. Qualstar: current defense of robotic library manufacturer against claims of patent infringement.
  • Oabrand v. Cenfuel N.A., Inc.: successful prosecution to declare patent license agreement invalid and successful defense of breach of contract, fraud and RICO counterclaims.
  • Kevco v. Lloyds of London: successful defense of breach of contract and bad faith claims in connection with key-man disability policies for publicly traded company.
