Mr. Guiffré has extensive trial and lead counsel experience in federal and state courts in a wide variety of disputes, including claims based on contractual rights, fiduciary duties, and fraud. He also is adept in litigating contract and other claims against the government, and he has defended companies against procurement fraud allegations (including qui tam actions) and terminations for default. Mr. Guiffré has managed a variety of government and internal investigations. He has substantial domestic and international arbitration and mediation experience.
Before joining Patton Boggs, Mr. Guiffré served for six years as an officer and an attorney in the Army, where he obtained considerable trial and appellate experience. Working in the Office of the Chief Trial Attorney, he managed complex contract litigation and fraud investigations. He was lead counsel in dozens of appeals, and he prosecuted numerous criminal offenses.
