Meredith Jolivert advises clients on complying with federal statutes and regulations governing the electricity and natural gas industries. Her practice focuses on regulatory litigation and compliance before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Ms. Jolivert also counsels governmental entities at the state and municipal level on issues relating to interconnection, transmission, generation, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.

Prior to joining Patton Boggs, Ms. Jolivert served as an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a large international law firm, where she helped develop and establish the regulatory framework for two state-level energy efficiency programs. In addition, Ms. Jolivert has extensive experience participating in rulemakings and administrative litigation before FERC, and with issues involving Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) and Independent System Operators (ISO) markets. She served as a member of the litigation team representing an ISO in the design and implementation of a locational installed capacity market, served on the legal team advising a retail regulator during the rebuilding of its electricity and gas infrastructure, and represented a state-level public service commission in the implementation of retail competition.
