Michelle Suárez, managing partner of Patton Boggs' Dallas office, advises financial institutions, capital companies, business credit divisions and private capital funds in connection with their lending and investment transactions. Ms. Suárez has represented senior lenders for most of her nearly 20 years of practice and is best known for her successes in structuring and negotiating complex asset-based credit facilities. She also has extensive experience in senior cash flow products, tranche-B financings, leveraged acquisitions, recapitalizations, equipment financings, subordinated debt and mezzanine investments, as well as venture capital and other equity financings.

Ms. Suárez also counsels senior lenders, subordinated lenders and equity investors in the complex intercreditor arrangements critical to various types of transactions, in addition to the workout and restructuring of troubled investments.

In large syndicated credit facilities, Ms. Suárez represents agent banks, as well as co-lenders and participants. She also represents buyers and sellers in secondary debt trading transactions, particularly in distressed credits.

Named one of the Most Powerful and Influential Women in Texas by the National Diversity Counsel, Ms. Suárez brings leadership and management skills to the firm and her practice. She was one of the founding members of Patton Boggs’ Dallas office in 1997 and has served the firm as Dallas office hiring partner and co-chair of the firm’s global Strategic Planning Committee, in addition to her current roles as Dallas office managing partner and a member of the firm’s global Operations and Finance Committee.
