Jack Cogen is President, CEO, and founder of Natsource LLC. He has led Natsource to its current status as one of the largest private sector greenhouse gas (ghg) asset managers with more than $1.1 billion in assets under management and in capital committed. Mr. Cogen has originated, structured, and syndicated some of the largest project-based ghg reduction transactions in the world. Mr. Cogen is also Chairman of the International Emissions Trading Association, an organization comprised of more than 170 corporations that promotes market mechanisms to address climate change. Jason Patrick is Vice President in the Carbon Markets Group at Evolution Markets Inc., the world's largest environmental brokerage firm. Mr. Patrick facilitates trades in global greenhouse gas credits and provides advisory services for Evolution Markets' global network of clients from the company's White Plains headquarters. Mr. Patrick has an extensive background in environmental policy and environmental trading market design and implementation. Hugo Alves is a partner in Bennett Jones' Climate Change and Emission Trading Practice group and the corporate/commercial group. His practice focuses on climate change and carbon emissions transactions in Canada and abroad. Jeff Turner is a senior partner at Patton Boggs and focuses his practice on public policy issues, including energy policy, tax policy, sanctions policy, homeland security, and telecommunications and copyright policy. As a member of the Public Policy Department, he helps clients block harmful legislation and regulatory policies and chart a course for enactment of favorable legislation and regulatory policies.
