Patrick Nickler’s practice focuses on real estate finance, loan workouts and restructurings, and real estate acquisition and development. He represents national and regional banks, finance companies and real estate developers in all aspects of secured and unsecured financings, including syndicated construction financing, acquisition financing, securitized CMBS financing, and mezzanine financing. Mr. Nickler also has significant experience in the representation of lenders in the acquisition and sale of pools of loans. Additionally, he represents landlords and tenants in the leasing of office and retail space.
Mr. Nickler has also taught a continuing legal education seminar on mechanic’s liens.
Representative Matters:
- Represented the administrative agent in a syndicated construction loan for a shopping center in Manassas, Virginia.
- Represented the administrative agent in a syndicated construction loan for an office building in Washington, DC.
- Represented the administrative agent in a syndicated construction loan for a multifamily housing project in Loudoun County, Virginia.
- Represented a foreign bank in an acquisition loan for a hotel in Orlando, Florida.
- Represented a nonprofit corporation in the acquisition of its headquarters building.
