Thomas Keane is the Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer for Patton Boggs LLP. In this role, Mr. Keane is responsible for creating and executing business development and marketing strategies that deliver lasting improvements in business performance across the firm. He also advises corporations and governments around the world on a range of growth and risk management challenges.
Prior to joining Patton Boggs in 2009, Mr. Keane spent 19 years in the insurance industry where he held leadership positions at two of the industry’s leading companies: Marsh Inc. and American International Group (AIG).
At Marsh, Mr. Keane created and led the firm’s Global Risk Advisory Panel which consulted leading organizations on emerging risk issues, including political and country risks. The panel included former United States Secretary of State Madeline Albright, the (late) Hon. Jack Kemp, former SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt and others.
At AIG, Mr. Keane served as a Vice President of Marketing. He played a significant role in the design, implementation and marketing of risk finance offerings, including structured insurance, environmental and un-conventional life programs.
He has spoken at risk management events around the world, including a United Nations Leadership Forum convened by U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
