Rae Kligys helps attorneys assist business and non-profit clients in all aspects of corporate existence. Ms. Kligys draws on nearly 13 years of experience in the paralegal industry and previous work in the public, private and non-profit sectors, to deliver complex, document-intensive legal projects.
Ms. Kligys focuses on business formations, licensing registrations, corporate governance matters, corporate mergers and dissolutions. She also assists in legal matters involving corporate transactions. Within that scope, she focuses on research and due diligence requests for clients concerning merger and acquisition transactions, venture capital transactions and transactions of public and private offerings of equity and debt securities. She also provides the firm’s tax-exempt organizations with assistance in preparing applications for recognition of tax-exempt status.
Before joining Patton Boggs, Ms. Kligys assisted in the development, implementation and management of an organization-wide compliance and ethics hotline. In this capacity, she designed, drafted and implemented standard operating procedures, as well as coordinated and managed inquiry investigations. Ms. Kligys also assisted in the launching of a broad-based organization-wide employee awareness and education program designed to implement the hotline.
