Rhonda Thomas uses her more than 15 years' experience to support attorneys in various practice groups including Business, Corporate Finance, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Real Estate (including affordable housing and tax credit projects), Energy, and Construction Project and Infrastructure.

Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Ms. Thomas has significant trial experience supporting more than 15 trial teams in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts, making her proficient in all aspects of the litigation process. She regularly performs research, drafts memoranda and pleadings, coordinates docketing, electronic filing, document production, document analysis, develops chronologies, deposition and witness preparation, assembles trial exhibits, and participates in trial and courtroom presentations. She also routinely coordinates electronic document production pursuant to Rule 26 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and possesses a broad knowledge of litigation support applications, including Summation and iConect document review software, Livenote for deposition transcript management, and Sanction and Trial Director for courtroom presentations.

Business: Ms. Thomas has daily contact with clients concerning various aspects of transactional deals, including due diligence reviews; the formation of corporations, partnerships, limited liability corporations, and other entities; ongoing corporate book management; transaction work; compliance work; UCC filings; and UCC and lien searches.

Real Estate and Restructuring: Ms. Thomas has coordinated drafting foreclosures; performed lien searches; analyzed and summarized various client documents regarding lender’s rights, construction documents, and financial chronologies; and performed legal research. She takes primary responsibility for administering closing documentation assembly and post-closing responsibilities.

In additional to maintaining a significant caseload, Ms. Thomas actively participates in Patton Boggs’ pro bono cases covering a variety of legal matters. She also has responsibility for business development projects.
