With nearly 20 years of experience in the area of corporate finance and investment, Stan Mayo, Managing PartnerĀ of the firm's Dallas office, assists domestic and foreign financial institutions, business capital companies, private investment funds and investment managers and principals on a range of corporate finance and investment issues.
Mr. Mayo counsels clients on matters involving mezzanine finance, preferred stock and equity investments, private placements, cash flow and asset based lending, leveraged acquisitions, syndicated facilities, commercial finance, structured finance (CLO, CBO, CDO) as well as finance matters in the areas of energy and real estate. He also advises clients on issues related to restructurings, workouts and bankruptcy matters to the foregoing.
Mr. Mayo represents principals involved in the formation of equity and venture capital funds, mezzanine funds, and Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) funds. He advises them on structural issues, choice of entities, tax, and regulatory matters. Once closed, Mr. Mayo represents the closed fund in connection with its investment activities.
Previously, Mr. Mayo served as a law clerk to Judge Sam D. Johnson at the U. S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit.
