Stephanie Ward focuses her practice on complex civil litigation and represents clients in the financial services and mortgage banking industries. Ms. Ward has served as lead litigation counsel in cases pending in state and federal courts.
Ms. Ward regularly represents banking, mortgage lending and consumer financial institutions in consumer class actions and individual matters, including repurchase litigation. These actions brought throughout the country concern challenges under federal statutes, as well as contract interpretation. Ms. Ward has additionally served as trial counsel involving commercial and business tort litigation, including trying to verdict, several cases involving state unfair and deceptive acts and practice statutes. In addition, Ms. Ward has represented clients in bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including both debtor and creditor work.
Ms. Ward, has experience and training in alternative dispute resolution and has successfully mediated or resolved complex and multi-party litigation, including class action cases, both pre and post certification. Ms. Ward works effectively with senior management in identifying the most practical and effective solution, including an analysis of both the legal and business implications of any given situation.
