The Women in Power® Forum is a special educational and networking event for women leaders in the electricity industry. The Forum, now in its sixth year, is designed to bring together decision makers in government organizations, trade associations, and electric utility companies to share common policy goals and explore ideas on how women can work together to improve the industry. The Forum will address important energy and environmental policy issues from the perspective of the U.S. Congress, White House, FERC, DOE, states and industry, including the latest developments regarding: (1) energy legislation in Congress; (2) smart grid; (3) renewable energy; (4) electric vehicles and the infrastructure necessary to make them viable; (5) independent and merchant transmission projects; and (6) rate structures and communication techniques to promote demand response.
